Lady G started making empanadas in her Greenville home kitchen on her birthday, December 2016. Not to open a restaurant. To fill a gap. The South Side of Jersey City deserved real food, made by real people, owned by the community it fed.
By April 2017 it was official. Today, 269 Ocean Avenue is more than a restaurant. It's a statement. Every empanada is handmade daily. Every flavor is intentional. No shortcuts. No pork. No sauce needed.
